AWS Lambda Image Processing Expert Needed

We operate a large wedding photography platform that automatically processes and publishes thousands of high-resolution wedding images using AWS Lambda and Amazon S3. Historically, our image processing pipeline used GraphicsMagick/ImageMagick (gm package) and produced excellent results. We recently attempted to modernize the Lambda environment and migrate processing to Sharp, but the generated images no longer match the original quality and photographers have noticed visible differences in color, texture, and overall appearance. We are looking for an experienced AWS Lambda image-processing expert to help us restore image quality and modernize the workflow safely. Current Environment AWS Lambda Amazon S3 Node.js Existing GM/ImageMagick Lambda function Sharp-based replacement Lambda currently being tested High-volume wedding photography galleries What We Need Phase 1 – Audit Existing Workflow Review our current and legacy Lambda functions and determine: Why images generated by Sharp differ from the original images Whether ImageMagick/GraphicsMagick should be retained Whether Sharp can be configured to produce equivalent results Best approach for preserving color profiles, EXIF data, and image quality Phase 2 – Implement Solution Implement the recommended solution, which may include: Restoring the original ImageMagick workflow Migrating to a newer Node.js runtime Building or configuring Lambda Layers Packaging GraphicsMagick/ImageMagick correctly for AWS Lambda Optimizing image processing performance and reliability Phase 3 – Quality Validation We need side-by-side testing against existing production galleries to ensure: Color accuracy Skin tones Contrast Sharpness Overall image appearance The goal is for newly generated images to closely match our historical galleries.
