Unity Developer – Long-Term Team Member
Worldwide
We are looking for a talented, reliable Unity Developer to join our team for a long-term relationship. We already have an active developer on the project, and we are expanding our team to accelerate development on our games. You will be working closely alongside our current developer. Depending on our weekly sprint goals, our workflow will follow one of two structures: Shift-Based Hand-off: Developer A works Shift A, and you will pick up directly where they left off for Shift B to maintain continuous development. Specialized Division of Labor: One developer will focus entirely on implementing stages, environment tilemaps, and level design, while the other developer focuses strictly on character mechanics, animations, and character behavior. This is an hourly paid position with a strict, non-negotiable budget of $5/hour. Please do not apply if your rate is higher than $5/hour, as we cannot accommodate higher bids. We are looking for an affordable, dedicated developer who wants a steady, long-term role as a core member of our growing team. 🚀 Continuous Pipeline & Future Projects This is not a one-off gig. Once Silent Knight is successfully launched, our team will immediately transition into a continuous pipeline of upcoming games and applications. We have a concrete roadmap of future titles completely lined up, meaning there will be zero down-time or gaps between projects. If you perform well on this game, you will secure a permanent spot on the team and move directly onto the development of our next list of projects. We are building a long-term studio and want a developer who can grow with us from one release to the next. Responsibilities Collaborate daily with our existing developer to hand off code, update assets, and sync via Git/Version Control. Work with either stage/environment layout optimization or advanced character mechanics (like queue tracking systems for companion movement). Write clean, documented C# code that another developer can easily read and pick up mid-sprint. Requirements Proven experience with Unity game development (top-down perspective preferred). Strong proficiency in C# and Unity's Animator controller system. Excellent communication skills and experience using Git for seamless code collaboration. Ability to work in a structured team environment and hand off tasks cleanly. Must be comfortable with a strict $5/hour contract rate. Project Type & Compensation Budget: $5.00 / hour (Firm maximum) Payment Structure: Hourly Project Length: Long-term / Ongoing contract If you are a passionate Unity developer looking for consistent, long-term work and are happy with a $5/hr rate, please apply with your portfolio or examples of your past Unity projects!
