Developer - AI CCTV Security System for Businesses and Homes

I’m building an AI-powered security system for small businesses and homes. Looking for an experienced Python developer with computer vision knowledge to build v1. What it needs to do: Shoplifting Detection (Stores): -Connect to existing CCTV camera feeds -Detect and flag suspicious behavior in defined zones (loitering, concealment gestures) using YOLOv8 -Conservative sensitivity threshold, multiple behavioral signals required before flagging -Record a short clip when activity is flagged -Send WhatsApp message + clip to owner’s phone for manual review Home Security (Night): -Connect to existing CCTV camera feeds -Detect and distinguish humans from animals (dogs, cats) in real time. Animals should never trigger an alert -High sensitivity, any human detected triggers alert -Configurable expected occupancy per time window. Owner sets how many people should be present at any time (e.g. 1 security guard). If detected humans exceed that number, immediate alert is triggered -Trigger WhatsApp call to wake owner during configurable night hours -Clip available on dashboard for review Technical Requirements: -YOLOv8 or equivalent for object detection -Runs entirely on local on-premises PC, No cloud processing -Continuous loop recording on local device. Footage recorded in intervals and oldest footage automatically overwritten when storage is full. Flagged alert clips are saved separately and permanently until manually deleted by owner -Video clips stored locally, not on cloud -Configurable alert sensitivity per module -Configurable expected occupancy per camera zone and time window -Cameras easily added or removed per client -Remote monitoring capability so I can see camera status and troubleshoot remotely from abroad -WhatsApp Business API for messages and calls Web Dashboard: -Live alert feed with timestamp and camera location -Clip playback for each alert -Owner confirms or dismisses each alert -Camera online/offline status -Configurable settings per camera (sensitivity, occupancy rules, alert hours) What I’m Looking For: -Fixed price contract structured in milestones -Demonstrated experience with computer vision projects (please share examples) -As a first test, show me a short demo of human detection on a sample video Timeline: 2 months for v1 Note: Architecture should be built to support future additions including facial recognition, POS integration, and multi-store management.
