Shopify Product Integration Platform – FTP Product Feed & Inventory Sync

## About us We are a Swiss e-commerce company operating a successful Shopify store. We are looking for a long-term software development partner to build a custom product integration platform for our suppliers. The first supplier is MASCOT Workwear. This is not a one-time project. We are looking for a solution that can later be extended to additional suppliers. -------------------------------------------- ## Current Situation MASCOT provides: - Product data via FTP - Inventory (stock) feed via FTP - Product images - Product documentation No API is available. The application will therefore retrieve and process the FTP feeds automatically. -------------------------------------------- ## Project Goal Develop a reliable Shopify integration platform that automatically synchronizes supplier data with Shopify. The system should: • Download product data from FTP • Download inventory feed • Create new Shopify products • Update existing products • Create variants (color / size) • Import product images • Update prices • Synchronize inventory • Store selected information as Shopify Metafields • Generate an import report -------------------------------------------- ## Important This software should NOT be built only for MASCOT. The architecture should allow us to integrate additional suppliers in the future using the same platform. -------------------------------------------- ## User Interface The software should be easy to use. Preferred workflow: - Connect to FTP - Start import - Show progress - Generate report No programming knowledge should be required. -------------------------------------------- ## Technology Preferred: - Python Alternative: - Node.js Required experience: - Shopify Admin API - Shopify GraphQL - FTP / SFTP - Product Data Import - Inventory Synchronization - Shopify Metafields -------------------------------------------- ## Project Phases Milestone 1 Review supplier files and FTP structure. Create a technical concept and implementation plan. Milestone 2 Develop a prototype importing approximately 20–50 products into a Shopify development store. Milestone 3 Develop the production version including testing, documentation and deployment. -------------------------------------------- ## We are looking for We strongly prefer an established software development agency or an experienced development team. The final implementation should not be hardcoded to this exact file but should be designed so that future supplier feeds can be integrated with minimal changes.
