Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities ------------------- Help scaling up applications Help build and improve applications with the scope of handling large amounts of concurrencies. Assist in SQL scaling, middleware architecture, and facilitate seamless integration with multiple Android/iOS SDKs and applications. Requirements ------------------- Solid experience with PHP Additional experience with C/C++, Java, Python, or other related modern languages is a plus 3+ years experience with SQL/NoSQL solutions (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, etc) Experience with GIT/SVN or other version control systems Experience with AWS or other cloud based computing platforms Knowledge of video/audio encoding formats and containers Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, peer reviews, design patterns) Solid understanding of advanced code optimization, profiling, and debugging skills Knowledge and experience on scaling up applications to sustain large amounts of concurrency A Computer Science degree or equivalent experience Ideal additional skills ------------------- Solid background developing with JSON, HTTP, RESTful services. Experience with Node.js (Backbone.js, Ember.js, Express all bonuses) Mobile development (iOS, Android) Experience with online user tracking methods for online advertising
