Raspberry Pi to Modbus RTU Machine Integration (RS485)

We need a developer to connect a Raspberry Pi to an industrial atmospheric water generator (AW70 Freedom) via Modbus RTU over RS485, using a USB-to-RS485 adapter. You'll build a Python service on the Pi that polls the machine's status coils (compressor, fan, power, tank full, frosting, pressure/fan protection) and 16-bit registers (set humidity, current humidity, coil temperature) at set intervals, then sends this telemetry to a cloud platform. The service should also accept commands from the cloud and translate them into Modbus writes back to the machine, including power on/off (write coil), set target humidity, timed power-on/shutdown, device address, and baud rate changes. A full Modbus RTU communication protocol manual for the machine will be provided. Looking for someone experienced with Python on embedded Linux/Raspberry Pi, Modbus RTU (serial, not just Modbus TCP), RS485 wiring, and IoT-to-cloud integration.
