Summary

We are building a suite of AI-powered web products targeting multiple industry verticals (legal, healthcare, education). The platform includes a public-facing marketing/brochure site, AI chat interfaces, and a customer-facing admin panel — all requiring polished, scalable, and well-architected front-end experiences. This is a long-term, full-time engagement with growing scope. You will be the sole front-end owner, working directly with product, design, and engineering stakeholders. If you thrive with high autonomy, love clean architecture, and can move fast without sacrificing quality — this is for you. What You'll Be Working On Immediate: Rebuild a Webflow marketing/brochure site from a generic template into a professional, investor-ready portal Ongoing: Build and maintain AI chat UI interfaces in Next.js across multiple industry verticals, built on top of an existing reusable chat component kit Long-term: Expand the public website to support software licensing and e-commerce; refactor an internal admin panel into a customer-facing product UI Build and maintain a scalable design system with reusable components across Webflow and React/Next.js Collaborate closely with a technical founder/CEO on information architecture, data relationships, and UI patterns Implement event tracking, A/B testing scaffolding, and performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, SEO) Required Skills & Experience Webflow (Must-Have) Expert-level Webflow development: CMS collections, reusable symbols/components, class systems Custom code embeds (HTML, CSS, JS) for functionality beyond Webflow's visual builder Experience setting up CMS structures for non-technical teams to manage independently On-page SEO best practices baked into semantic markup React / Next.js (Must-Have) Strong React with TypeScript — reusable component architecture, prop-driven variants Experience building scalable front-end systems from scratch or contributing to existing ones Familiarity with design system implementation (tokens, theming, layout shells) Front-End Fundamentals (Must-Have) Deep HTML, CSS, JavaScript knowledge Responsive design, performance optimization, Core Web Vitals Component-level animations and advanced layouts AI Interface Experience (Strong Plus) Experience designing or building UX for AI-driven products (chat interfaces, AI co-pilot features, tool call visualizations) Understanding of how to surface AI uncertainty, failure states, and user controls in a trustworthy way Design & Product Thinking (Strong Plus) Ability to work from Figma files and push back on complexity when it hurts maintainability Experience with multi-persona UX — mapping distinct user journeys and converging them into shared components Lightweight user research practices: stakeholder interviews, usability sessions, heat maps, event tracking Tools & Process Linear (or similar lightweight project management tools) Analytical mindset: conversion tracking, pixel setup, A/B test measurement Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment with evolving requirements Who We're Looking For Full-time availability aligned with US business hours (EST or PST) Long-term commitment — this engagement is expected to run for 12+ months with expanding scope High responsiveness — replies expected within business hours; async communication done well High ownership mentality — you take end-to-end responsibility for your deliverables without hand-holding Fluent English — written and spoken (C1 or above); all communication is in English Comfortable operating as a solo contributor who can own pages, flows, and systems independently Experience working with US-based clients or teams is a strong plus What This Is NOT ❌ A short-term or part-time gig ❌ A role where you wait for pixel-perfect specs before starting ❌ A team with heavy process and management overhead To Apply, Please Include: A brief introduction and why this role fits your experience Links to relevant work — Webflow sites, React/Next.js projects, or AI-facing UI work Your availability and current timezone Confirmation that you can commit to full-time US hours long-term
