React + AWS Full-Stack Developer — IoT Telematics Platform

About the project We're building a connected-device telematics platform. Hardware gateways installed in vehicles report sensor data to the cloud; a web portal manages devices, customer accounts, subscriptions, alerts, and geofencing; a mobile app lets end customers pair with and monitor their equipment. The design phase is complete: you'll start with a working React portal prototype, a documented data model, and a full API specification. Your job is to build the production backend on AWS and connect the frontend to it. What you'll do • Take ownership of the existing React portal (~25 pages) — extend it, don't rewrite it • Wire the portal to live APIs in a production React build • Implement AWS infrastructure as code: Cognito, API Gateway, Lambda, IoT Core, DynamoDB or Aurora • Build device provisioning and telemetry ingestion (IoT Core → Kinesis/Timestream) • Implement the documented REST API • Set up CI/CD, monitoring, and role-based security Must have • 4+ years building production React applications — you'll take over a substantial existing React codebase • Strong AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB/Aurora) • Proven ability to take a spec to a deployed production system independently Nice to have • AWS IoT Core or connected-device experience • Time-series data pipelines • AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code) — we encourage their use
