Summary

# Senior Technical Project Lead – CDP, Data Integrations and Software Launch We are looking for an experienced technical project lead to take ownership of an existing customer data platform and move it through integration, testing, stabilization, and launch. We already have a large codebase, an active repository, multiple working and partially completed modules, and a development team in place. This is not a project starting from scratch. The main job is to understand what has already been built, organize the remaining work, help the team complete and connect the modules, fix bugs, complete data ingestion, and get the platform operating reliably in production. ## About the Platform The platform is being built to ingest and unify customer and business data from multiple external systems. It includes: * Data connectors and ingestion pipelines * Customer and entity records * Identity resolution and unified customer profiles * Transactions, leads, assets, service history, and customer activity * Segmentation, workflows, reporting, and automation * APIs and employee-facing software modules A large portion of the platform already exists. We need someone focused on completing, repairing, connecting, and launching what has been built—not automatically recommending that everything be rebuilt. ## Responsibilities The technical project lead will: * Review the existing codebase, repository, architecture, modules, and integrations * Determine what is complete, partially complete, broken, or missing * Create a clear plan to move each module through completion, testing, and launch * Coordinate the existing developers and assign clear deliverables * Ensure modules, APIs, databases, and data pipelines work together properly * Complete and stabilize data ingestion from external systems * Identify, prioritize, assign, and track bugs through resolution * Establish testing and acceptance requirements * Manage priorities, timelines, dependencies, and release milestones * Prevent new feature development from distracting from core launch requirements * Review technical progress and challenge poor decisions or unrealistic estimates * Identify missing skills or capacity within the current team * Source, interview, and recommend additional developers or specialists when required * Coordinate production deployment and post-launch stabilization * Report progress directly to ownership every two weeks This is a leadership and delivery role. You are not expected to personally write all the code, but you must be technical enough to understand the work, guide the team, review progress, and determine whether something is actually complete and production-ready. ## AI-Assisted Development We are using AI models and development tools to help review code, solve problems, repair bugs, write tests, document the platform, and speed up development. The successful candidate should be familiar with modern AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI coding tools, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, or similar platforms. You should understand how to use these tools effectively within a large existing repository while maintaining: * Consistent architecture * Code quality * Security * Testing * Documentation * Human review * Production reliability We are looking for someone who uses AI as a practical development and problem-solving tool—not as a replacement for experienced engineering judgment. ## Team Leadership You will work with the existing project team and help determine what additional resources are needed. This may include backend or frontend developers, data engineers, integration specialists, QA resources, DevOps support, database specialists, or other technical contractors. You will be expected to: * Assess the current team’s skills, capacity, and performance * Clarify ownership of each module and integration * Identify gaps that are slowing the project down * Prepare scopes of work for additional resources * Interview and recommend qualified candidates * Define milestones and acceptance criteria * Review work and address underperformance * Ensure the project does not depend entirely on one developer or contractor Additional hiring and material spending will require ownership approval. ## Bi-Weekly Reporting Every two weeks, you will provide ownership with a clear progress report covering: * Work completed * Modules and integrations advanced * Bugs resolved and major bugs still open * Data-ingestion status * Progress against milestones * Current priorities * Team performance and capacity * Risks and blockers * Budget or resource concerns * Decisions required from ownership * Any changes to expected launch timing, cost, or scope Reports must show measurable progress toward launch, not simply meetings held or hours worked. ## Initial Priorities The first stage of the engagement will include: * Reviewing the existing repository and codebase * Mapping the current modules and integrations * Assessing data-ingestion status * Reviewing the open bug and development backlog * Identifying technical debt and launch blockers * Assessing the existing team * Creating a prioritized roadmap and responsibility plan * Establishing testing and production-readiness requirements * Providing a realistic path to launch ## Required Experience Applicants should have experience with several of the following: * Customer data platforms or customer 360 platforms * Large existing software codebases * Data ingestion and external-system integrations * APIs, databases, and multi-module applications * Identity resolution and unified customer records * Backend and frontend software development * Technical project or product leadership * Managing developers, data engineers, and contractors * Bug remediation and platform stabilization * Testing, CI/CD, and production deployment * AI-assisted software development * Taking partially completed software through launch Knowledge of the specific systems feeding the platform is not required. Strong knowledge of CDP concepts, data integrations, software development, and technical delivery is required. ## Ideal Candidate The right person will: * Take ownership and keep the project moving * Be technically credible with experienced developers * Understand how data platforms and software modules work together * Focus on completing and repairing usable work rather than unnecessarily rebuilding it * Communicate clearly with both developers and non-technical ownership * Identify problems early and provide direct recommendations * Be comfortable addressing missed deadlines or poor performance * Use AI and other development tools to speed up research, coding, testing, and problem-solving * Stay focused on getting a reliable product launched ## How to Apply Please answer the following: 1. Describe an existing software project or large codebase you inherited and helped take through launch. 2. What condition was the project in when you started? 3. How did you assess which work could be retained and what needed to be repaired? 4. Describe your experience managing data ingestion and external integrations. 5. How do you ensure multiple modules work together without breaking each other? 6. Describe a project where you managed a large bug or incomplete-feature backlog. 7. What developers or specialists have you recruited and managed? 8. Which AI coding and development tools do you regularly use? 9. How have you used AI tools to speed up development, debugging, testing, or documentation? 10. Describe software you personally managed through production launch. 11. What would you review during your first two weeks on this project? 12. Provide your availability, hourly rate, time zone, and expected weekly commitment. Please begin your application with the words “CDP DELIVERY LEAD.” Generic project coordinators, CRM administrators, marketing consultants, and applicants without experience managing substantial software projects will not be considered.
