Experienced Backend Developer Needed for Crash Fixes,API Reliability/ Debugging in Production System

We are seeking an experienced backend developer to resolve several issues in our nearly complete Node.js application before release. The system handles payments and background jobs and requires quick troubleshooting, debugging, and reliability improvements to ensure a smooth production launch. Responsibilities ● Fix server crashes and unhandled exceptions in production endpoints ● Resolve API timeout and hanging-request issues on webhook and payment routes ● Troubleshoot async workflows involving job queues and third-party API calls ● Improve overall API consistency and error handling across services ● Debug race conditions and state issues in queue/worker processes ● Test fixes thoroughly in staging before production deployment ● Maintain clean, scalable Node.js/Express code while implementing fixes Required Skills ● Strong Node.js and Express development experience ● Experience debugging server crashes, unhandled promise rejections, and exceptions ● Knowledge of Redis/Bull (or similar) job queue systems ● Understanding of async/await workflows, webhooks, and idempotency ● MongoDB/Mongoose troubleshooting and schema-level debugging ● Familiarity with Git and branch-based workflows ● Strong communication and problem-solving skills ● Ability to deliver fixes within tight deadlines Project Scope ● Small bug-fixing and reliability improvement project ● Estimated duration: 1–2 days ● Immediate start required ● Potential for future maintenance work To Apply Please include: ● Experience with Redis, Bull, or other queue/state management solutions ● Relevant debugging and crash-fixing experience ● Your estimated turnaround time ● Your hourly rate or fixed-price quote
