Senior AI/Full-Stack Engineer and Technical Lead for Enterprise SaaS Platform

Selarion AI is seeking a senior AI/full-stack engineer and technical lead to help complete and launch an enterprise procurement intelligence platform. This is not a basic website or isolated feature project. We need an experienced, hands-on engineer who can evaluate an early-stage application foundation, identify architectural and technical gaps, establish a secure AWS-based production environment, and lead development through MVP completion, pilot deployment, and commercial launch. Selarion currently has a functional product demo, existing code and technical assets, established platform workflows, documented requirements, and a defined product structure. The platform is not yet a completed or production-ready MVP. The selected engineer will determine which existing components can be preserved, completed, refactored, replaced, or rebuilt. The platform is designed to help enterprise teams discover, evaluate, and engage suppliers for urgent and unplanned sourcing requirements. AI is central to the product, including intelligent supplier discovery, data extraction, supplier evaluation, workflow automation, analytics, and decision support. Responsibilities: • Conduct a structured technical review of the existing application and codebase • Document the current architecture, development status, technical debt, security risks, and outstanding requirements • Determine which components should be completed, refactored, replaced, or rebuilt • Recommend a practical development roadmap with milestones, timelines, and resource requirements • Build and improve secure, scalable frontend and backend functionality • Develop and integrate AI and LLM-powered workflows • Design and maintain APIs, databases, authentication, user permissions, and auditability • Establish and manage the AWS cloud environment • Implement testing, monitoring, logging, documentation, CI/CD, version control, and development standards • Protect company data, source code, credentials, infrastructure, and intellectual property • Communicate progress, risks, decisions, and resource needs clearly to the founders • Help prepare the platform for pilot users, enterprise integrations, and production deployment • Remain actively involved in writing, reviewing, testing, and deploying code Preferred Qualifications: • Senior-level full-stack SaaS development experience • Strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript experience • Experience with React, Node.js, APIs, SQL databases, and cloud architecture • Hands-on experience building production AI or generative AI applications • Experience with LLM orchestration, structured outputs, retrieval systems, AI agents, data extraction, or workflow automation • Strong AWS experience, including deployment, security, monitoring, access management, and cost controls • Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, API integrations, and modern software architecture • Demonstrated success taking a prototype or incomplete application through production launch • Ability to lead technical decisions while remaining hands-on with development • Experience reviewing and assuming responsibility for an inherited codebase • Strong documentation, communication, and project-planning skills • Ability to work independently while collaborating directly with company leadership Engagement Structure: Candidates will be evaluated through their proposals, screening responses, interviews, relevant work examples, professional history, and overall technical and working fit. Candidates are not expected to perform a codebase review before being selected and hired. After the selected engineer begins the engagement and the appropriate confidentiality and intellectual property agreements are in place, the initial responsibility will be to assess the functional demo, existing codebase, architecture, technical assets, and documentation. The engineer will then provide findings and recommend the appropriate development path before leading the broader build. This is intended to become a long-term engagement for the right person. Confidentiality, secure code handling, controlled access to company systems, and assignment of all work product and intellectual property to Selarion AI will be required. Applicants should be prepared to explain their personal contributions to previous projects and provide examples of relevant production work that they are authorized to share.
