# Python Developer Needed – Performance & Risk Management Software for a Discretionary Trader ## Overview I am a full-time discretionary options trader looking to build a desktop-based Performance & Risk Management application. This is NOT a trading bot and it will NEVER place trades or provide trading signals. The purpose of the software is to improve discipline, risk management, and capital preservation while trading. I currently use: * TradingView (Windows PC) for chart analysis. * Thinkorswim (iPhone) for entering and managing trades. * A mirrored iPhone screen displayed on my computer while trading. The software will monitor my trading behavior and predefined risk-management rules and provide real-time warnings and performance feedback. ## IMPORTANT This project is NOT: * An AI trading bot. * An automated trading system. * A signal generator. * An algorithmic trading platform. * High-frequency or quantitative trading software. This project IS: * A desktop-based risk management and performance coaching application for a discretionary trader. ## Required Skills Please apply only if you have experience with some or most of the following: * Python * Desktop application development * OCR (Optical Character Recognition) * Screen monitoring and automation * UI/UX development * Data collection and reporting * Rules engines and alert systems * API integrations (future phases only) * Experience building scalable software architectures Trading experience is a bonus but is NOT required. ## Version 1 Requirements ### Dashboard The application will display: * Current P&L * Current position size * Number of trades * Trading time * Current status * Daily limits and warnings * Session statistics ### Risk Management Rules The application will monitor: * Daily loss limits * Maximum contract size * Maximum number of trades * Trading cutoff times * Consecutive losses * Mandatory cooldown periods All values must be editable through settings. ### Warning System The application will have four warning levels: * GREEN – Everything normal. * YELLOW – Approaching limits. * ORANGE – Mandatory cooldown recommended. * RED – Stop trading for the session. ### Session Reports At the end of each trading session I would like reports that include: * P&L * Number of trades * Largest position size * Total time trading * Rule violations * Discipline score * Capital preservation score * Session grade * Recommendations for improvement ### Phone Mirroring & OCR The application must eventually monitor: * Mirrored iPhone screen * Current P&L * Position size * Open positions * Trade count * Trading time using OCR and screen monitoring technologies. ## Future Versions (NOT Version 1) Future phases may include: * Behavioral analysis * Tilt detection * AI coaching * Personalized performance recommendations * Historical trade behavior analysis These features are NOT required for Version 1. ## What The Software Will NEVER DO The software will never: * Place trades. * Automatically close positions. * Recommend trades. * Predict market direction. * Generate buy or sell signals. The purpose of this software is discipline and risk management only. ## Development Approach I would like this project developed in milestones. Examples: Milestone 1: * Dashboard * Rules engine * Warning system Milestone 2: * Session reports * Timers * Cooldown periods Milestone 3: * Phone mirroring integration * OCR implementation Future milestones will be discussed after successful completion of Version 1. ## When Applying Please include: 1.
