Summary

Design Engineer — Redesign the core matching flow at LawYeah Heads-up: we can only work with freelancers whose registered business seat is in Berlin or Brandenburg. We cannot consider applications from outside this region unfortunately. About us LawYeah is a Berlin-based legal-tech marketplace matching people who have a legal problem with the right lawyer. We have a live product, a working backend, and a growing user base — but the interaction layer around the matching flow is honestly not where it needs to be. We want to fix that with you. The job Own the redesign of our matching journey end-to-end — for users submitting a case, for lawyers reviewing and responding to it, and for admins overseeing the pipeline. This is not a Figma-only gig: we need someone who ships production code, not just mockups. What you'll deliver • New interaction & service design for the matching flow across three user roles (user / lawyer / admin), aimed at making it intuitive, consistent, and seamless. • Production implementation in our React & Next.js stack — components, pages, forms, states, error handling, empty states, transitions. • A coherent, reusable UI system for the matching flow (built prefereable on our Radix + Tailwind foundation - but open to new suggestions as well) so the pattern extends naturally to future flows. • A handover that a future engineer can pick up without archaeology. Our stack Next.js · React · TypeScript · Tailwind · Radix UI · Supabase You'll thrive here if you • Have shipped complex, multi-role product interfaces before — not landing pages, not marketing sites. • Think in flows and states, not just screens. You care about the seams between steps. • Are fluent in React + TypeScript and comfortable in a Next.js App Router + Supabase codebase. • Can hold a design opinion, defend it, and drop it when someone has a better one. • Bonus: you've worked on marketplaces, two-sided platforms, or legal/regulated products. Engagement • Timeframe: roughly 3 months, part-time or full-time — flexible on cadence. • Working style: remote-first, but we'd love to work with you in person in Berlin from time to time. • Start: in the next 3–4 weeks. How to apply Send us: 1. 2–3 case studies of product interfaces you've designed and shipped — the messier and more real, the better. We care about your thinking, not your dribbble aesthetic. 2. Your day rate and rough availability over the next 3 months. 3. Your business registration (Berlin/Brandenburg). One or two sentences on your legal setup is fine at this stage. 4. Anything else you think we should know — including questions. Looking forward to hearing from you!
