Mobile App Developer (Maintenance & Long-Term Opportunity

We have an AI-powered video app that is completely built and already approved by Apple — it just hasn't launched in the App Store yet. That's where you come in. We're looking for a sharp, reliable React Native developer to take over the app, get it live, and keep it running smoothly while we pour fuel on the fire with paid marketing. This is not a “build an app from scratch” project. The heavy lifting is done. We need a dependable operator who can own the technical side while we drive growth. -What Kind of App Is It?- Without revealing our exact app (we keep that under wraps until we talk), it's very similar to this one: Dance AI – AI Dance Video Maker. In short: users upload a photo, and AI turns it into a fun, shareable dance video. Simple concept, simple app. - Built in React Native - iOS only for now — we’re launching on the Apple App Store and are not doing Google Play at this time - AI video generation runs through fal.ai - Monetized with a subscription paywall - Growth engine: paid ads and influencer marketing— which is why attribution matters a lot to us -What You'll Actually Be Doing- This is a maintenance and optimization role — light, steady workload with occasional pushes: - Launch & App Store Management: submit builds, manage releases, and set up new offers/in-app purchases in App Store Connect - Attribution & Tracking: this is a big one. We're running serious Facebook ad spend, so we need someone who can set up and dial in attribution and event tracking so we know exactly what's converting - Paywall & Onboarding Changes: when we want to test a new paywall or tweak the onboarding flow, you implement it on the backend quickly and cleanly - Bug fixes & backend maintenance: squash minor bugs and keep everything stable as we scale - Minor UI changes: small tweaks here and there, nothing major To be clear: this is a maintenance position for now — but it won’t stay that way. As this app grows, we'll be adding upgraded features. And as new apps enter our pipeline, this role leads into building entire apps from scratch. We're making one hire, not two — someone who can maintain today and build tomorrow. That's why the bar below is set where it is. -Who We're Looking For- 1. Proven experience maintaining production React Native apps You've built and shipped apps from scratch (0→1) — from empty repo to live in the App Store. This role starts as maintenance, but we're hiring a builder, and you'll be walking us through an app you took from zero to launch 2. Fluent in App Store Connect — submissions, releases, in-app offers 3. Hands-on experience with subscription paywalls and onboarding flows (RevenueCat/Superwall or similar) Strong with mobile attribution and analytics (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Firebase, Amplitude, Meta events) — including the iOS realities of ATT and SKAdNetwork, so our ad data is actually trustworthy 4. Experience with AI APIs (fal.ai or similar) is a big plus 5. Self-directed, proactive communicator — we shouldn't have to chase you for updates 6. Solid TypeScript — clean, typed code that doesn’t break in production 7. Backend/serverless experience (Node.js, Firebase, or AWS) — our AI generation runs server-side, and you’ll be maintaining that too 8. Remote config & A/B testing — so we can test paywalls, pricing, and offers without waiting on App Store reviews 9. CI/CD & TestFlight (Fastlane, Expo EAS, or similar) — fast, repeatable releases 10.
