Technical Project Manager / Client Call Manager
Worldwide
We are a web development agency looking for a Technical Project Manager or Client Call Manager who can communicate directly with clients and help us manage ongoing web development projects. This is not mainly a coding position. You will not be expected to spend your day developing features, but you need enough full-stack development knowledge to understand what the developers are working on, follow project progress, identify possible issues, and explain technical matters to clients in simple language. A large part of this role will involve joining Zoom or Google Meet calls, gathering requirements, answering general technical questions, and making sure the client and development team have the same understanding of the project. The position will begin part-time and may grow into a larger, long-term role. We are only considering candidates who are currently located in the United States or Canada and can work during EST or PST business hours. Main Responsibilities Join client calls and serve as a main point of contact Gather project requirements and prepare clear notes for developers Follow the progress of web development projects Communicate updates, delays, questions, and technical issues to clients Help organize tasks and priorities across developers and designers Make sure the work being completed matches the client’s expectations Prepare short project summaries, meeting notes, or simple technical explanations when needed Manage several ongoing clients or projects without losing track of important details You will work with our development team, so you should be able to understand common web development topics such as frontend and backend development, APIs, databases, hosting, authentication, third-party integrations, and deployment. You do not need to be the strongest developer on the team, but you should understand how web projects are built and be able to have useful conversations with both developers and clients. What We Are Looking For Located in the United States or Canada Native or near-native English communication skills Available during EST or PST working hours Previous client-facing or project management experience Good understanding of full-stack web development Comfortable leading video calls and speaking with clients Able to explain technical information without using unnecessary jargon Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple projects Comfortable working in a web development agency environment Familiar with Zoom, Google Meet, and common project management tools Previous experience managing client relationships for a web agency, software company, or SaaS team will be preferred. Experience with technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Python, PHP, databases, APIs, AWS, Azure, or CMS platforms is helpful. Knowledge of AI tools and how they can be used for documentation, meeting notes, project planning, QA, or development workflows is a bonus. Loom Video Required Please include a short 1–2 minute Loom video with your application. In the video, briefly introduce yourself, explain your client-facing or project management experience, and describe how you would explain a technical issue to a non-technical client. Applications without a Loom video will not be considered. How to Apply Please include a short summary of your relevant experience, your current location, your availability during EST or PST hours, and your Loom video link. We are looking for someone who can communicate well, understand what is happening technically, and take responsibility for keeping clients and the development team aligned.
