Senior Full-Stack GIS Developer for Property Data Platform

We are seeking a senior full-stack developer with strong GIS and geospatial application experience to build an early-stage property data platform for the Australian market. The initial MVP will involve address search, integration with government spatial datasets, parcel mapping, spatial analysis and the generation of a simple user-facing property report. The developer will be expected to recommend the most suitable architecture, connect the required datasets and progressively build the platform on an ongoing basis. Required experience: • GIS and geospatial web applications • PostgreSQL and PostGIS • Spatial APIs, REST services, WFS or GeoJSON • Interactive mapping using Mapbox, MapLibre, Leaflet or similar • React, Next.js or another modern frontend framework • Node.js, TypeScript, Python or another suitable backend technology • Spatial calculations and polygon analysis • Cloud deployment and database management • Clear communication and technical documentation Experience with property technology, cadastral data, planning systems, government spatial datasets or Australian mapping data would be highly regarded. This is intended to be an ongoing engagement, beginning with a working MVP. The successful developer should be comfortable working independently, providing technical recommendations and demonstrating progress through regular working releases.
