Senior Software Quality Assurance Tester for AI powered EdTech platform

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Tester to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our AI-powered math learning platform. In this role, you will work closely with product managers, developers, AI engineers, and UX designers to validate new features, identify issues early, and deliver a seamless learning experience for students and educators. This position requires a strong background in manual and automated testing, excellent analytical skills, and experience testing web, mobile, and AI-driven applications. Key Responsibilities Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and exploratory testing. Design and maintain automated test suites for web and mobile applications. Validate AI-powered features, including personalized learning recommendations, adaptive assessments, answer evaluation, and chatbot interactions. Test mathematical content for correctness, formatting, rendering (LaTeX/MathML), and user experience. Verify application performance, reliability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility. Collaborate with software engineers to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Track, prioritize, and verify defects using issue management tools. Review product requirements and provide feedback to improve testability. Ensure releases meet quality standards before deployment. Continuously improve QA processes, automation coverage, and testing efficiency. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance. Strong experience with manual and automated testing methodologies. Experience testing web-based SaaS applications. Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger. Experience using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar automation frameworks. Familiarity with SQL and database validation. Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience testing AI or machine learning applications. Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt testing, and AI response validation. Experience testing adaptive learning platforms, educational technology (EdTech), or e-learning products. Knowledge of mathematical notation, equations, graphing tools, or symbolic computation. Experience with accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1). Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or LoadRunner. ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
