Developer who ships automations with the Claude API
Worldwide
We're an e-commerce company doing too much by hand. We're not looking for an "AI consultant" — we're looking for a developer who ships working automations, with the Claude API. Shopify and Meta Marketing API experience is a strong plus. The main project right now: Claude-powered customer support assistant We receive a steady stream of support tickets daily. You'll build an assistant that reads incoming tickets, pulls relevant context (order data from Shopify, past conversations), and produces suggested replies for our support team. This is a real production system — error handling, secrets management, logging, monitoring — not a prompt in a playground. Alongside that: small, reliable automations - Daily advertising data (Meta Ads, Google Ads) pulled via API into Google Sheets - Auto-generating Google Docs from calendar/template data - Asset renaming and organization via the frame.io API - Reviewing and hardening scripts we've prototyped with AI tools ourselves They're also how we'll get to know each other — see "How hiring works" below. Later phase: internal portal Down the line, these automations plug into an internal portal. That codebase is C# / .NET 10 (Clean Architecture + CQRS with MediatR), PostgreSQL + EF Core, ASP.NET Core, Docker, with a React 19 + TypeScript frontend (Vite, Tailwind v4, shadcn/ui, React Router v7). You should be genuinely comfortable in this stack — it's where the long-term work lives. What we're looking for - A software developer first: you read, write, and debug real code (C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) - Hands-on with REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, scheduled jobs — you can read third-party API docs and integrate a new service independently - Practical Claude API / LLM experience: tool use, structured outputs, agent patterns — and you know the failure modes - Shopify API experience, GraphQL specifically (strong plus) - Meta Marketing API / Google Ads API experience (plus) - Git/GitHub discipline: clean commits, PRs, code review; GitHub Actions for CI/CD - You explain technical trade-offs to non-technical people in plain language How hiring works (read this) Shortlisted candidates get a trial task: build the daily Meta Ads spend export into a Google Sheet. We provide access, you have 3 days, you get paid regardless of outcome. We hire based on what you ship — working code, sensible error handling, clear README — not on your proposal text. Ownership Everything is built on our accounts from day one: our GitHub repos, our API keys, our infrastructure, documentation included. This protects both sides — you never carry our credentials, and we keep a working system regardless of what the future holds. To apply, briefly describe: (1) one automation or AI system you built that's running in production today and what it saves, (2) your experience with the Claude API or similar LLM APIs — specifics, not buzzwords, and (3) your Shopify/ads API experience, if any. Start your proposal with the word 'Autopilot' so we know you read this.
