Fractional CTO / Principal AI & SaaS Architect We are building and modernizing AI-enabled SaaS platforms for retail, ecommerce, inventory, pricing, workflow automation, and enterprise operations. We need a hands-on Fractional CTO or Principal Software Architect who can help us assess the current platform, define the target architecture, and guide implementation. This is not a purely advisory role—you should be comfortable contributing to architecture, code reviews, technical prototypes, production troubleshooting, and developer mentoring. Our stack includes: - Java and Spring Boot - Python and FastAPI - React and TypeScript - PostgreSQL - Kafka and REST APIs - Docker, CI/CD, AWS, Azure, or GCP - LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and intelligent automation The ideal consultant has experience with multi-tenant SaaS, enterprise APIs, ERP/CRM integrations, workflow systems, distributed services, and practical AI implementation. Initial deliverables may include: - Current-state architecture assessment - Target architecture and technical decisions - Security, integration, and scalability recommendations - Phased implementation roadmap - One working reference implementation We value practical engineering over unnecessary complexity. You should know when to use Java/Spring Boot, Python/FastAPI, microservices, event-driven architecture, or a simpler modular approach. Please include: 1. A relevant SaaS, AI, or modernization project 2. Your personal architecture and coding responsibilities 3. Your Java/Spring Boot and Python/FastAPI experience 4. How you would assess an existing platform during the first two weeks 5. Your availability for an initial discovery engagement An NDA may be required before detailed product information is shared.
