React Native Dev (AI-Assisted) — Fix & Launch Existing App
Worldwide
Description: I'm looking for a reliable React Native / TypeScript developer to help fix, test, polish, and prepare an existing mobile application for release. **My budget is $10/hr. Please apply only if you are comfortable working consistently at this rate.** The application is already built and close to launch. This is not a "start from scratch" project, and I do not need someone to redesign the architecture or rebuild the app. I need a developer who can quickly understand an existing codebase, follow clearly documented tickets, make focused changes, test them properly, and communicate reliably. This role is best for a developer who actively uses AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools to accelerate code exploration, debugging, testing, implementation, and refactoring. I do not want a developer who works only in a slow, old-school/manual way. Technical ability is important, but reliability, attention to detail, design accuracy, and communication are equally important. The goal is to reduce my workload and help move the application toward launch. What You'll Work On - React Native frontend fixes - TypeScript debugging and cleanup - API integration with existing backend endpoints - UI state and navigation issues - Screen polish and layout corrections - Matching implemented screens to approved designs and mockups - Fixing incomplete or broken user flows - Mobile testing on Android and iOS - Expo and EAS build or release tasks - Video and media-player performance improvements - Small, clearly defined feature adjustments - Beta-release and store-submission support - Ticket-by-ticket implementation Important Requirements You must be able to: - Use AI-assisted coding tools effectively - Read and understand an existing codebase quickly - Review the full ticket, attached designs, and relevant files before starting - Provide an estimate before beginning each task - Wait for approval before exceeding an estimate or using additional hours - Work only on the approved ticket unless instructed otherwise - Follow ticket scope without unnecessarily expanding the task - Ask concise, specific questions only when genuinely blocked - Communicate clearly and consistently in English - Flag blockers promptly rather than using placeholders or dummy data - Create a separate branch for each ticket - Keep commits focused and ticket-specific - Include the ticket number and title in the branch, commit, and pull request - Push work promptly rather than leaving changes only on a local machine - Test the relevant user flow before reporting completion - Compare the implementation directly against the approved design - Provide screenshots or a short video showing completed UI work - Update tickets with completed work, testing, blockers, and next steps - Maintain accurate ticket statuses - Work within approved time limits - Provide a clear written handoff when necessary
