Web App Developer – Ongoing Development & Support (Healthcare App)

We're looking for an experienced app developer to take ownership of an existing web application built for our healthcare organization — reviewing what's already there, resolving open issues, and helping us keep building it out. Clear Mind Treatment is a multi-location outpatient behavioral health organization operating across Southern California and Arizona. We provide IOP, PHP, TMS, Spravato/ketamine therapy, neurofeedback, and medication management, and we built an app to support how our patients and staff interact with our practice. The app is functional but currently in a testing phase, and our internal team has flagged a handful of bugs and issues that need fixing. We don't currently have in-house backend visibility into the app, so we're looking for someone who can get oriented in the existing codebase and become our go-to developer for both fixes and future feature work. What you'll do: - Review and get up to speed on our existing app codebase - Troubleshoot and resolve known bugs, starting with issues already flagged by our internal testing team - Provide backend support and visibility our team currently doesn't have - Recommend and build new features as we continue developing the app - Communicate clearly with a non-technical team about technical tradeoffs, timelines, and priorities What we're looking for: - Proven experience building and maintaining web applications - Comfortable inheriting and auditing an existing codebase built by a previous developer - Strong communicator — able to explain technical issues and options in plain language - Experience with healthcare, HIPAA-compliant, or other data-sensitive applications is a strong plus Nice to have: - Experience with EMR/EHR integrations (we use BestNotes) - Background working with healthcare, wellness, or behavioral health companies Given the sensitive nature of healthcare data, we'll ask the selected developer to sign an NDA and follow HIPAA-conscious development practices.
