Job Title: QA & Testing Talent Sourcer & Recruiter Location: Remote | Full Time | Freelance Compensation: $1,000 USD/month + $1,000 Bonus Per Role Hired About Us We are a growing talent acquisition agency partnering with ambitious technology companies to build exceptional engineering and product organizations. We are currently expanding our recruitment team to support a new client specializing in digital commerce and AI-powered customer experiences. We are looking for an experienced QA & Testing Talent Sourcer/Recruiter to help us identify, engage, and place top-tier quality assurance professionals across all levels — from QA Engineer to Test Manager. What You’ll Recruit You will be directly responsible for sourcing and hiring quality assurance talent for our clients. You will own the full recruitment cycle for the following critical roles: QA Engineer Test Engineer Automation Test Engineer Manual Tester QA Lead Test Manager Performance Test Engineer This is a research-driven recruitment role. The best QA professionals are rarely actively looking for new opportunities. Success comes from understanding modern development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and automation frameworks, and mapping the market to uncover passive talent who thrive in high-velocity, quality-focused, and continuously evolving environments. Approximately: 70% Sourcing & Outreach 30% Vetting, Assessment, and Coordination Key Responsibilities Market Map the QA & Testing Talent Space: Identify and map the quality assurance talent market across all seniority levels, with a focus on candidates who have experience in test automation (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress), performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner), API testing (Postman, REST Assured), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI), test management (TestRail, Xray), and shift-left testing practices. Source Exceptional Candidates: Proactively find specialized QA professionals through LinkedIn, GitHub (checking contributions to open-source test frameworks, test scripts, or automation tools), Stack Overflow, and niche testing communities (e.g., Ministry of Testing, Reddit r/QualityAssurance, and Discord/Slack testing groups). Build Outreach Campaigns: Create and execute executive-level outreach to engage passive QA talent who understand test strategy, test-driven development (TDD), behavior-driven development (BDD), exploratory testing, and risk-based testing. Conduct Specialized Screening: Review applications and resumes to assess a candidate's hands-on experience — including their proficiency with test automation tools, scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, C#), defect tracking (JIRA, Bugzilla), and performance/load testing methodologies. Manage Interview Process: Coordinate and conduct initial screening calls to evaluate technical depth, problem-solving mindset, and cross-functional collaboration skills with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams. Present Shortlisted Candidates: Submit qualified QA profiles to our team and clients for final review and selection. Maintain Pipeline: Track all candidates in our internal hiring system with appropriate tags (e.g., "Automation," "Performance," "Manual," "API Testing," "Mobile Testing," "CI/CD," "Agile," "ISTQB") and statuses. How We Expect You to Source We will provide access to LinkedIn Recruiter. However, we expect our sourcers to go significantly beyond LinkedIn. Successful candidates in this role will regularly source through: GitHub and open-source testing projects (to find engineers contributing to Selenium frameworks, TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, or other test automation libraries). Technical forums and Slack/Discord communities (e.g., Ministry of Testing Slack, Test Automation Guild, Selenium Users Group, and local software testing meetups). Conference attendee lists and speaker rosters (e.g., STAREAST, STAREUROPE, TestCon, SeleniumConf, Automation Guild, and Agile Testing Days). Stack Overflow and developer Q&A platforms (to identify engineers with deep debugging, test design, and continuous integration expertise). Executive referrals from former QA Directors, Heads of Quality, and Engineering VPs. Niche job boards and newsletters focused on software testing (e.g., QualityAssuranceJobs, TestGuild, QA Jobs Board). We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys finding talent that other recruiters miss in the QA and testing vertical. Requirements 2–3+ years of recruitment or talent sourcing experience, with a strong focus on Quality Assurance, Test Engineering, or Test Automation roles. Proven experience hiring for positions such as QA Engineer, Test Engineer, Automation Test Engineer, Manual Tester, QA Lead, Test Manager, or Performance Test Engineer. Ability to speak the language of the QA world — you understand the difference between a Manual Tester and an Automation Engineer, what a Test Manager does vs. a QA Lead, and you know where to find them. Familiarity with modern testing tools and practices (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JIRA, TestRail, JMeter, Postman, API testing, mobile testing, CI/CD integration) is a strong plus. Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal (you must be able to engage senior QA engineers and Test Managers). Strong attention to detail (especially when reviewing technical experience, certifications like ISTQB, CSTE, or CMSQ, and track records of test strategy and defect reduction). Full-time availability (around 40 hours per week). Ability to work independently and meet weekly sourcing targets (5–10 qualified candidate profiles per week). Compensation $1,000 USD per month (base salary for the 3-month contract). $1,000 USD bonus for every QA/Testing candidate you successfully place and who is hired by our client. Monthly payments. Initial project expected to last around 3 months, with the opportunity for a long-term partnership.
