Summary

I am seeking an experienced full-stack developer to convert my existing Bachata Movement Studio prototype into a functional, mobile-first Progressive Web App. This is not a public dance-tutorial website, online course, marketplace or social-media platform. It is a personal video learning and organization system that I will use during private dance intensives, group classes and festivals. I already have a detailed interactive prototype demonstrating the approved visual design, navigation and workflow. The developer will not be starting from an undefined idea or designing the entire interface from scratch. FIRST BUILD: INTENSIVE TRAINING SYSTEM The focused first version must allow me to: * Create and edit an intensive with the instructor’s name and number of training days * Navigate backward and forward through lesson days * Upload class videos from an iPhone, iPad or MacBook * Accept common video formats * Preserve the original uploaded video * Create a standardized MP4 working copy * Display upload and video-processing progress * Organize videos by instructor, intensive, lesson day, date and movement category * Trim raw videos manually into named movement clips * Adjust each clip’s start and end points * Preview clips before saving them * Rename and categorize saved clips * Play clips at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% speed * Loop and mirror movement clips * Link raw videos and movement clips to daily lesson notes * Save corrections, homework and competency scores * Edit or delete saved lesson information * Archive completed lessons by instructor, day, date and movement category * Create custom archive folders for additional movements and drills * Search and retrieve archived lessons easily * Export and download videos and related information for backup to a MacBook or external SSD * Display a protected PDF workbook inside the PWA Videos will usually be three to four minutes and will not exceed approximately five minutes. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS The application must be: * Extremely simple and intuitive * Designed mobile-first * Installable as a Progressive Web App * Easy to use on an iPhone, iPad and MacBook * Dependable with video uploads * Able to preserve original uploaded files * Organized around a searchable media archive * Built with clean, maintainable and documented code * Structured so additional features can be added later * Built using accounts, storage and services that I own The first version does not require: * Public user registration * Subscriptions or payment processing * Social networking * A public video marketplace * Advanced AI movement recognition * Native iPhone or Android applications RELEVANT EXPERIENCE Please apply only if you have relevant experience with: * Progressive Web Apps * React and Node.js * Responsive mobile interfaces * Video uploads and cloud storage * FFmpeg or equivalent video processing * MP4 transcoding * Video trimming and playback controls * Searchable databases and media libraries * File export and backup systems BUDGET AND WORKING ARRANGEMENT The displayed fixed-price budget is a target—not an automatic project price. Please submit your most competitive fixed-price proposal with: * Your recommended total price * A milestone breakdown * The deliverables included in each milestone * Your estimated completion time * Any features that you recommend postponing * Expected monthly hosting, storage and video-processing costs I will begin with a small paid technical-planning milestone before authorizing the complete build. I will fund and approve the development one milestone at a time. All source code, hosting accounts, storage accounts, databases, deployment services and project assets must belong to me. The completed project must include documentation and a proper developer handoff. APPLICATION QUESTIONS Please address the following questions in your proposal: 1. What similar PWA, video-processing or media-library application have you built? Please provide examples. 2. How would you upload a three-to-five-minute video from an iPhone without losing progress if the internet connection becomes unstable? 3. How would you preserve the original video while creating a standardized MP4 working copy and smaller movement clips? 4. What technologies would you recommend for the PWA, FFmpeg processing, cloud storage and searchable database? 5. How would you allow me to export and back up my videos and related information to an external SSD? 6. What can you realistically deliver within the displayed target budget? 7. What ongoing monthly operating expenses should I expect? 8. Will you build the project using accounts and services that I own and transfer all source code and documentation to me? 9. Are you willing to sign confidentiality, work-for-hire and intellectual-property assignment terms? Please begin your proposal with the words “BMS Intensive” so I know you read the complete description.
