Agencies on Upwork now have a new way to grow their business and connect with great clients: Agency Plus.
What is Agency Plus on Upwork?
Get more flexibility and resources to land new business on Upwork with the Agency Plus subscription. As an Agency Plus member, your team can increase proposal visibility, bid on new projects, get access to advanced AI features, and more.
How is Agency Plus different from Agency Basic?
Agency Basic plans offer a few essential features that enable your agency to operate on Upwork. With an Agency Basic plan, you can accept invites from Upwork Enterprise clients and continue to work on any active projects. You can’t bid on new jobs or accept invites from non-Enterprise clients.
How Agency Plus works
The way the plan works is simple—upgrade to the Agency Plus plan in your account settings, then:
- Continue working on your existing projects
- Bid on new projects by purchasing Connects for $0.15 each
- Boost your proposals and agency profile using Connects
- Chat with Uma to develop new ideas, proposals, ways to enhance your workflow, and more

What are the benefits of forming an agency on Upwork?
Forming an agency on Upwork allows you to keep growing your client base, earning income, and even finding other professionals to work with on projects.
Some agency owners, like Bruce Meek of ArcanEdge, partner with other agencies on Upwork to offer more complete services to clients.
“One thing people don’t talk about enough is the incredible talent you can connect with on Upwork to grow your network and skills,” said Meek. “That’s how we met Sifars, an agency specializing in AI services that complement ours. Thanks to our partnership, we’re now able to offer full management of AI projects from development to deployment.”
If I have a freelancer account, how can I switch to Agency Plus?
You can create an agency on Upwork at any time. To do so, visit your account settings and go to the “contact info” tab. From here, you’ll have the option to create a new agency account. When you form your agency account, you can subscribe to Agency Plus.
Many successful freelancers, like Thiago Maior, start out with individual accounts before forming agencies.
“I started to have 10 to 15 interviews per week,” said Maior, who now runs an agency called EZOps Cloud. “At the same time, I realized that my peers were struggling to work in Brazil, which is why I asked them to work with me…our experience has been amazing. Not only for me, but now for the more than 50 people working with us. It’s been an amazing ride and Upwork changed everything, for sure.”
How much does Agency Plus cost?
Agency Plus is $19.99 per month. There’s no required subscription term, so you can upgrade or downgrade at any time.
