I have an open mindset towards learning, and as a technical enthusiast, I have mastered various programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Dart, Java, PHP, Liquid, and their frameworks. This expertise enables me to proficiently execute remediation tasks on digital assets, ensuring optimal accessibility standards are met.
Although regulation enforce inclusion, as an individual with a disability, I believe that accessibility goes beyond legal regulations and compliance - it's all about usability.
Therefore, I always work hard to push the boundaries of accessibility above and beyond the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
I was born visually impaired. I know exactly how products are designed that makes it less accessible for people like me, and I also know and understand how to fix those issues.
Previously, I had worked with Microsoft as a research project participant for accessibility on various Microsoft products. With expertise in WCAG and ARIA, I conduct comprehensive accessibility audits and remediation on diverse websites. I specialize in testing for accessibility across multiple assistive technologies, including NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on iOS, Talkback on Android, and keyboard-only navigation.
In addition, I have experience with automated testing tools such as Axe, a leading automated Accessibility Scanner for finding automated Accessibility violations.
I always suggest businesses follow a manual accessibility approach as automated accessibility checks can only find 30% of accessibility violations. I am always open to finding challenging accessibility issues on digital assets and contributing to improving the usability of products and services.
