Children’s book illustrator services might include:

• Create captivating illustrations to accompany children’s stories
• Conceptualize relevant imagery based on book theme, storyline, language, and the preference of the author and the publisher
• Reimagine and rework existing storybook art to modernize, meet new standards, or appeal to different age ranges
• Use best design practices to produce high-quality graphic files suitable for both print and ebooks
  

Requirements to become a freelance children’s book illustrator on Upwork:

• Must be over the age of 18 with an internet connection
• Experience is not required but is preferred
  

Preferred skills for children’s book illustrator freelancers:

• Experience in graphic design or illustration, especially for children’s books
• High proficiency with illustration software such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop
• Ability to provide concept drawings and build out on approved concepts in a timely manner
• Demonstrated aptitude for creativity and visual art
