Cold-calling services might include:

• Cold-call prospective customers from a given directory
  
• Answer calls and respond to questions from prospective clients
  
• Effectively explain benefits of services to prospective clients and lead calls toward sale and final purchase
  
• Keep written records of client communications and transactions 
  
• Respond to client inquiries over the phone and through follow-up emails
  

Requirements to become a cold-calling specialist on Upwork:

• Must be over the age of 18 with an internet connection
  
• Experience is not required but is preferred
  

Preferred skills for cold-caller freelancers:

• High school diploma or higher  
  
• Proven experience in telemarketing
  
• Customer service experience 
  
• Ability to negotiate with clients and patiently handle complaints
  
• Proficiency in speaking and writing in English
