Social media manager services might include:

• Create social media content that is cohesive and consistent, and adheres to desired brand messaging
• Advise clients to ensure various forms of social media content are used effectively across various platforms
• Manage multiple social media pages for a brand using social media management software
• Track engagement over time, configure performance analytics, and report on growth
• Interact with a brand’s social media audience via comments, tagging, sharing, and other actions to encourage engagement
  

Requirements to become a freelance social media manager on Upwork:

• Must be over the age of 18 with an internet connection
• Experience is not required but is preferred
  

Preferred skills for social media manager freelancers:

• Strong familiarity with social media platforms used by brands, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Pinterest
• Experience using social media management software such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite
• Ability to develop effective social media marketing campaigns that facilitate engagement and grow followers
