Job Title: Web Developer (Remote) Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Web Developer with expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST API integration. This role focuses on developing robust, responsive, and dynamic web solutions for an innovative education ecosystem. Your work will directly support students and educators in advancing digital literacy, cybersecurity, and computer science. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. • Integrate REST APIs to enable dynamic functionality and seamless communication with backend systems. • Optimize websites for performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility. • Ensure all solutions meet accessibility standards and deliver an inclusive user experience. • Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to align web solutions with project goals. • Review existing web solutions and provide recommendations for improvement upon request. • Clearly communicate with the team on a regular basis. Qualifications: • Required: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field from an accredited institution. • Preferred: Certifications in web development frameworks or technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js. • Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including modern frameworks and libraries. • Experience invoking and integrating REST APIs in web applications. • Knowledge of responsive design principles and front-end performance optimization techniques. • Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and best practices for building inclusive web applications. • A passion for education, technology, and creating impactful web solutions. Position Details: • Location: 100% remote. • Hours: Work must be logged on the same date using Upwork’s timesheet. • Duration: Ongoing for successful hires.
