Summary

We are a New Jersey personal injury law firm looking for a reliable after-hours and weekend intake specialist / virtual assistant to help respond to new potential clients when our office is closed. This is not just an answering service role. We need someone who can quickly respond to leads, ask the right screening questions, determine whether the matter may be a good fit, enter accurate notes, and help move qualified leads toward signing a retainer. The ideal candidate has personal injury intake experience and understands how important speed, follow-up, and compassion are when speaking with injured callers. Responsibilities: Call and text new leads quickly during assigned coverage hours Answer incoming calls when available Screen personal injury leads, including auto accidents, slip and falls, premises liability, dog bites, workers’ compensation, and other injury matters Ask key questions about accident date, location, injuries, treatment, insurance, police reports, attorney status, and case facts Enter detailed notes into our intake system Send retainer links to qualified leads when approved Follow up with leads until documents are signed or the lead is closed Escalate urgent, high-value, or time-sensitive cases to firm management Maintain a professional, compassionate tone with injured callers Follow scripts, checklists, and firm intake procedures Schedule Needed: We need reliable after-hours and weekend coverage in Eastern Time. Coverage needed: Monday–Friday: 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM Eastern Time Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Eastern Time Applicants do not need to cover every shift. Please tell us exactly which days and hours you are available. We may hire more than one person to make sure all shifts are covered. Ideal Candidate: Experience with personal injury law firm intake strongly preferred Strong English communication skills Spanish bilingual is a plus Comfortable speaking with injured people and asking detailed questions Reliable during evening and weekend hours Organized and able to follow scripts/checklists Experience with Lead Docket, Filevine, CallRail, or other legal CRMs is a plus Comfortable calling, texting, emailing, and updating internal systems Able to respond quickly and professionally without needing constant supervision Compensation: Hourly pay based on experience. We are looking for someone long-term who can become part of our intake process and help us sign more qualified clients after hours and on weekends.
