AppFolio Bookkeeper – Cleanup & Ongoing Property Management Accounting

We are a property management company looking for an experienced bookkeeper with hands-on AppFolio expertise to help us get our books back on track and manage ongoing transactions. PHASE 1 – Cleanup (18 Months): - Review and reconcile all AppFolio transactions from the past 18 months - Identify and correct miscategorized income/expense entries - Reconcile bank accounts and security deposit accounts - Ensure owner statements and trust accounts are accurate and balanced PHASE 2 – Ongoing Monthly Bookkeeping: - Record and categorize all income and expense transactions in AppFolio - Perform monthly bank reconciliations - Generate and review monthly owner statements - Track and reconcile maintenance charges, vendor payments, and tenant payments - Provide a clean, organized monthly close Requirements: - Proven experience with AppFolio property management software (required) - Background in real estate or property management accounting - Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently - Able to communicate clearly and meet monthly deadlines - Include ABC123 in the first sentence of your proposal response.
