Project Title: Lead Architect & VDC Specialist for Luxury Prefab Residential Project (USA licensed preferably IL Licensed) Project Description: I am seeking a highly skilled, Illinois-licensed Architect of Record to lead the design and coordination of a 2,500 sq. ft. luxury custom residence in Crystal Lake, Illinois. This project utilizes a Light Gauge Steel (LGS) panelized prefab system (manufactured by DeepBlue Smarthouse). I require an architect who can act as the technical liaison between my vision and the manufacturer’s engineering team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and will be responsible for creating a "digital twin" of the residence. Project Requirements: Design Scope: U-shaped layout focusing on modernist high-rise aesthetics, a central courtyard, and a detached 4-car garage connected via a glass breezeway. VDC/BIM Proficiency: Must utilize Revit/ArchiCAD to produce LOD 350+ models. You will be responsible for clash detection (structural/MEP/architectural) to ensure perfect fabrication alignment. Material Coordination: Experience integrating high-end, site-specific finishes (American Heritage stone, stainless steel landscape edging) with modular/panelized structural systems. Liaison Role: Direct coordination with the international manufacturer’s engineering team to ensure shop drawings are build-ready and clash-free. Required Qualifications: 1. Must be a licensed architect in the State of Illinois. 2. Proven experience in BIM-to-Fabrication workflows and resolving design clashes before fabrication. 3. Portfolio demonstrating technical construction documents (not just concept renderings).
