# HR Assistant (Remote, Part-Time) **Pay:** $3/hour **Hours:** Approximately 4 -10 hrs per week, on a regular weekly schedule with a specific day and time agreed upon in advance. Additional hours may be available in the future as the company grows. We are looking for a proactive and organized HR Assistant to help build and manage our recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and talent management systems. This is a long-term remote position for someone who enjoys recruiting, process improvement, and building scalable HR processes. ## Responsibilities * Work with management to define hiring needs and create job descriptions for new positions. * Post job openings on platforms such as Upwork, Indeed, Facebook Groups, LinkedIn, and other recruiting channels. * Review applications, conduct initial candidate screenings, and schedule interviews. * Help develop interview questions, evaluation scorecards, and hiring processes. * Create and maintain HR workflows, SOPs, checklists, and recruiting playbooks. * Assist with onboarding new employees and independent contractors. * Prepare and organize onboarding documentation, including contracts, W-9 forms, and other required paperwork for 1099 contractors. * Use AI tools such as ChatGPT to perform basic HR and employment-related research and help prepare documentation packages that align with applicable local requirements. Final legal review and compliance decisions will be made by management and/or legal professionals. * Maintain organized employee and contractor records. * Build and maintain talent pipelines, including subcontractors, virtual assistants, designers, engineers, construction professionals, hospitality staff, customer service representatives, and other key positions. * Develop and maintain a database of qualified candidates for future hiring needs. * Track recruiting progress and provide regular hiring updates. ## Qualifications * 3+ years of experience in recruiting, HR, talent acquisition, staffing, or a related field preferred. * Experience posting jobs and sourcing candidates from multiple platforms. * Strong communication, organizational, and follow-up skills. * Experience creating SOPs, workflows, and process documentation. * Familiarity with onboarding processes and contractor documentation. * Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, drafting documents, and process development. * Proficient with Google Workspace, Excel, and other productivity tools. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. ## Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who can help us build a scalable recruiting and HR system, not just fill positions.
