Audio Mixing Engineer Needed for Feature-Length Documentary Film (225 min) Overview We are seeking an experienced Audio Mixing Engineer to mix a feature-length documentary film with a total runtime of approximately 225 minutes (3 hours and 45 minutes). The documentary is fully edited and picture-locked. We are looking for a professional capable of delivering a polished, balanced, and broadcast-ready stereo mix while preserving the authenticity of the original recordings and ensuring a consistent listening experience throughout the film. Primary language: Brazilian Portuguese. What We Will Provide * Final picture-locked video for reference. * Two organized audio stems: * Dialogue Stem: interviews, archival recordings, historical audio, voice messages, and spoken content. * Music Stem: edited soundtrack and musical content. * Project brief describing the intended tone and emotional direction of the film. * XML project export and/or original audio assets if additional access to source material becomes necessary. Project Context This is a historical and biographical documentary that incorporates source material from different periods and recording conditions. Audio quality varies throughout the film, which is typical for long-form documentary productions involving archival and historical content. The goal is not to artificially transform the original recordings, but to maximize dialogue intelligibility, improve overall consistency, and create a cohesive and professional listening experience across the entire runtime. Key Responsibilities * Create a balanced and professional stereo mix. * Maximize dialogue intelligibility and consistency across all source materials. * Integrate music naturally while preserving speech clarity. * Manage dynamics, equalization, noise reduction, and loudness levels where appropriate. * Ensure smooth transitions and sonic continuity throughout the 225-minute runtime. * Deliver revisions based on production feedback.
