Audio Post for Dark Comedy Short Film SOCIAL DRAMA

THE JOB I need audio mixing and audio mastering on my dark comedy short called SOCIAL DRAMA. The film runs 9min 31 sec including credits. I don't need any sound design, just someone to mix the dialogue, effects and music then master the sound. ABOUT ME I am the film's writer / director and I'm in the final year of a Masters in Screenwriting at Australia's top film school (AFTRS). This is a personal project and not an official AFTRS production. I intend to submit the film into Academy qualifying festivals in Australia, North America and the UK. WARNING This project may not be for everyone. The film deals with antisemitism in Australia, and references recent tragic events at the Bond Beach mass shooting. LOGLINE After losing his funding, a young director refuses to abandon his film as bitter cast conflicts collide with tragedy at Bondi Beach. Obviously, whoever gets this gig will also get a sound post / mastering credit. My music composer is currently working on an original score. In the meantime, all dialogue and sound effects (along with placeholder music) will be available to be downloaded via my Google drive in whatever format you request - e.g. ProTools, Avid, XML. TIMING Work can begin any time from now, but the original music wont be available for you to access until 15 July 2026 (at the latest, hopefully earlier). The deadline for all deliverables is 1 August 2026. DELIVERABLES All sound masters are to be delivered as mono .wav files Sample Rate - 48KHz Bit Depth - 24Bit Mixed at Reference Level of 85dBC Channel Mapping: 5.1 - LRCLfeLsRs 2.0 - LR The four deliverables I need are: 1 5.1 Film Mix - Recommended Loudness -27 LKFS 2 2.0 Stereo as LoRo for Broadcast/Streaming with Loudness at -24 LKFS (per OP59) 3 Web Mix Stereo for YouTube, Vimeo and Festival Screeners with Loudness at -16 LKFS 4 DME tracks as 2.0 Stereo (these will be used for any trailer editing) CONTACT Please only contact me via Upwork.
