AI Automation Engineer (Contract → Part-Time/Full-Time) — NYC Startup I’m the CEO of a NYC startup and I’m looking for a technical automation builder to be my personal “ops DevOps” — I dream up a workflow that’ll save me hours, you build it. A couple of examples of what I mean: an auto-todo pipeline that turns a voice memo into a structured task (voice → Whisper → Zapier → Notion), and an auto-CRM where I take a call on my laptop, on my phone, or in person, and my Attio sales pipeline updates itself — notes captured, contact enriched, and the deal stage/status moved automatically, with a single notification stream so nothing slips. The dream is that I describe a time-sink in plain English and you turn it into a reliable system. You should be genuinely comfortable with the mechanics of hard systems: Zapier (ideally n8n too), GitHub, the terminal, Claude Code, Codex, and Obsidian. Engineering background strongly preferred — I want someone who understands what they’re wiring together, not just clicking through no-code templates. This starts as a contract with a clear path to a consistent part-time or full-time role for the right person.
