Automotive Technician – Coding & Warranty Documentation

What You'll Do -Review completed repair subtasks and assign accurate labor op codes, C/C/C documentation, and warranty claim codes in line with OEM guidelines — primarily VinFast, with additional OEMs as we scale. -Audit ROs prior to submission: verify that diagnostic findings, parts used, and repair procedures are documented with enough specificity to survive warranty review. -Identify and flag coding errors, missing documentation, or non-compliant repair steps before claims reach the OEM portal. -Work directly with remote service advisors and partner shop technicians to close documentation gaps in real time. -Monitor open ROs for stalled or incomplete documentation; escalate where needed to keep cycle times on track. -Develop and maintain coding reference guides and internal SOPs as our OEM portfolio grows. What We're Looking For -3–5 years of automotive technical experience, with meaningful time spent in warranty coding, service writing, or a dealership-level documentation role. -Strong working knowledge of DTC diagnostics and repair procedure documentation — you understand what a complete, defensible RO looks like. -Hands-on familiarity with OEM warranty portals and labor op code assignment; experience with VinFast or other EV platforms is a significant plus. -Comfort working inside digital platforms at high volume — this role lives in software, not under a hood. -Precise written communication; your documentation needs to be unambiguous to a warranty adjudicator who has never seen the car. -ASE certifications and/or OEM-specific training preferred.
