BAU Content & Article updates direct to CMS/ Website

We're after a freelance content editor/ loader that we can utilise to help with simple content updates across our website. The content updates might range from removing and replacing closed venues listed in articles, to loading new content and features to be published. This is largely a junior content management/ content loading task that has a bit of research, light editing and copywriting sprinkled in. Starting as soon as possible - this arrangement will be approximately 20-30 hours over the next month. Pending the success of this initial period, there may be an opportunity for more work/ increased hours in future on an ongoing basis - which is the intention. You would be comfortable: - Updating existing listicles and articles using an existing directory we have to make research a breeze, or conducting light google research. - Replacing closed venues with a well thought out alternative to keep content fresh and updated. - Short-form/ listicle copywriting and making relevant edits where necessary - no complete re-writes, but replacing 100 words here and there in existing articles. - Work within a CMS (Umbraco) with guest access to make changes directly to relevant pages. (This will be demonstrated once onboarded) - Working through tickets/ change requests off Asana or a google sheet. - Keeping a high-level tracking sheet of work completed as worked through (to also assist with invoicing) Who this might be good for: - Anyone looking for a bit of side work & working flexibly in a time and way that suits you. - Students who are interested in content management, marketing, copywriting. - Please note: As light copywriting & editing is required, native English (preferably AU/ NZ) is required. Preferable, but not crucial: - AU or NZ based - purely because of the content we create, local advantage has its benefits with assumed knowledge and research. - Experience with CMS systems, loading and publishing. - Proven experience with content writing or editing. - Interest in hospitality & food. Once the appropriate applicant is chosen, we will: - Give you a pilot brief (paid work - 2 hour brief) to get started to ensure it’s a good fit for both of us e.g. making changes in a word doc to gauge your approach and thinking as this will determine how you work independently. - Once agreed to continue, we’ll start with a video meet briefing session to get you onboarded to tasks, CMS, tools & expectations.
