Basketball Data Expert

We are seeking a Basketball Data Specialist with a deep understanding of the game and a passion for data-driven research. This role combines basketball expertise with analytical thinking to help build and enhance one of the industry’s most comprehensive basketball data platforms. You will be responsible for organizing and validating basketball data, identifying key game events, and conducting in-depth analyses to uncover meaningful relationships and trends across large datasets. Your work will directly contribute to the development of our analytics products and research initiatives. Responsibilities * Structure, maintain, and continuously improve our basketball data platform.  * Analyze game data to identify, classify, and validate basketball events and advanced metrics.  * Perform exploratory and statistical analyses to uncover patterns, correlations, and predictive relationships.  * Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across multiple competitions and seasons.  * Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights.  * Collaborate with engineering and research teams to improve data quality and develop new analytical capabilities. Requirements - Extensive knowledge of professional basketball, with a strong understanding of the NBA, EuroLeague, FIBA competitions, and NCAA basketball, including teams, players, rules, and tactical concepts. - 3+ years of professional experience using Python for data analysis and data processing. - Strong SQL skills with experience querying and working with large relational databases. (Required) - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets. - Highly independent, self-managed, and comfortable taking ownership of projects from concept to completion. - Close attention to detail and a commitment to data quality. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
