Blockchain Architect for Decentralized E-commerce and Native Token

About the Project We're building a decentralized e-commerce platform because we think today's online marketplaces have become too expensive and too centralized. Sellers lose a significant percentage of every sale in platform and payment fees. Buyers have very little transparency into how things work, and neither side has much control over the platform they're using. We're not trying to replace every part of e-commerce with blockchain. We're using it where it actually makes sense. The marketplace itself should feel like a normal shopping platform. Under the hood, blockchain handles payments, settlement, rewards, staking, and governance. The goal is to improve trust and reduce unnecessary intermediaries without making the experience more complicated for users. Alongside the platform, we're building a native token. It's designed to support the marketplace, not exist separately from it. The token will be used for payments, user rewards, staking, governance, referral incentives, and other platform utilities as the ecosystem grows. We're much more interested in building something people actually use than launching another token with no product behind it. The project is currently in the PoC stage. We already have the product direction, initial architecture, and development underway, but we're still early enough that the right technical decisions now will have a huge impact later. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who enjoys designing systems, not just writing contracts. You'll be the person helping define how the blockchain layer fits into the entire platform—from wallet interactions and transaction flows to smart contracts, token mechanics, backend services, and long-term scalability. You'll work closely with the rest of the engineering team to make technical decisions that are practical today but won't become limitations as the platform grows. Some of the areas you'll own include: - Overall blockchain architecture - Smart contract and token design - On-chain and off-chain system design - Wallet and payment flows - Security and scalability - Technical reviews and engineering standards If something doesn't make sense technically, we expect you to challenge it. What We'd Like to See - Experience building production blockchain applications - Strong Solidity and EVM experience - Experience designing token economies with real product utility - Good understanding of blockchain security and system architecture - Comfortable making architectural decisions in an early-stage startup - Someone who likes solving real product problems, not just blockchain problems Why This Role You'll be joining while the platform is still taking shape, with the opportunity to influence both the architecture and the engineering culture from the beginning.
