Bookkeeping for Small Remodeling Company

Construction Bookkeeper (FreshBooks → QuickBooks Online) Spanish speaker preferred. We're a small but quickly growing residential remodeling company specializing in kitchen and bathroom renovations. We're looking for an experienced construction bookkeeper to manage our books and provide accurate project financial reporting. We currently use FreshBooks, are transitioning to QuickBooks Online, and will soon implement a project management software. Experience with these platforms is highly preferred. Requirements Experience bookkeeping for a remodeling or construction company (required) FreshBooks and QuickBooks Online experience Any project management software experience is a plus Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting Excellent attention to detail and communication Responsibilities Bank and credit card reconciliations Accounts Receivable (customer invoicing, payments, collections) Accounts Payable (vendor bills, subcontractor payments) Allocate expenses to the correct projects Review job costs and profitability Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports, including: Cash Flow Accounts Receivable Aging Accounts Payable Aging Profit & Loss (Company & by Project) Job Cost Report (Budget vs. Actual) Balance Sheet Assist with monthly close and maintain accurate accounting records Hours: 5-10 hours per week to start, with potential for long-term growth. Current bookkeeping volume is relatively light: we typically have 2–3 active remodeling projects, 2–3 subcontractors, and 3–4 primary vendors. We process approximately 6–8 bank transactions per week, with 2 banks and maintain 6 business credit cards, each averaging about 6–8 transactions per week. We currently do not have payroll, as all field labor is performed by subcontractors. While the workload is modest today, we are a growing company and expect both project volume and bookkeeping needs to increase over time.
