Initial engagement: This role will begin with a paid five-hour trial at the agreed Upwork hourly rate. The trial will focus on reviewing three to five entities, identifying documentation gaps, organizing an initial readiness matrix, and preparing preliminary sequencing recommendations. Additional hours are not guaranteed and will depend on accuracy, relevant experience, and productivity. We are seeking an experienced business credit funding consultant to help organize several legitimate U.S.-based companies for potential business credit card and conventional business-funding applications. This is a strategy, research, and documentation-readiness role. The specialist will review company information provided by the client, identify documentation gaps, develop a responsible application sequence, and create an organized funding-readiness system. The objective is to improve preparation and reduce preventable application errors—not to guarantee approvals or misrepresent information to financial institutions. Scope of Work The selected consultant will assist with: Reviewing the current structure and readiness of multiple business entities. Creating a separate funding-readiness profile for each company. Identifying required company documents, financial records, ownership information, and application prerequisites. Developing a proposed sequence for business credit card and other business-funding applications. Researching issuer criteria, application rules, reconsideration procedures, and timing considerations using legitimate sources. Identifying potential conflicts between issuers, recent applications, inquiry exposure, account velocity, and company readiness. Organizing company documentation into a clean lender-ready structure. Preparing an application calendar and decision tracker. Creating a checklist for information that must be verified before each application. Documenting risks, assumptions, dependencies, and items requiring confirmation from a licensed attorney, accountant, tax professional, or lender. Maintaining a record of applications, outcomes, limits, reconsideration status, and next actions after the client completes authorized applications. Required Deliverables The initial project should produce: Entity Readiness Matrix A separate assessment for each company covering: Entity age Formation state Ownership EIN status Business address Phone and website consistency Bank account history Revenue documentation Financial statements Tax-return availability Existing business credit Personal guarantor requirements Known documentation gaps Document Preparation Checklist A detailed list of documents required or recommended for each company, such as: Articles or certificate of formation EIN confirmation Operating agreement or bylaws Certificate of good standing Business licenses Ownership records Bank statements Profit-and-loss statement Balance sheet Tax returns Revenue support Existing debt schedule Identification and address-verification requirements Application Sequencing Plan A written strategy explaining: Recommended order of applications Reason for the proposed order Which company should apply for which product Documents required before each application Timing between applications Potential issuer conflicts Situations requiring the client to stop and reassess Risks associated with excessive applications or inquiries Funding Tracker A spreadsheet containing: Company Financial institution Product Application date Application status Personal guarantee requirement Credit bureau information, where reliably available Documents submitted Decision Credit limit Reconsideration status Next action Notes and supporting source Capital-Readiness Summary A concise owner-facing report identifying: Companies ready to proceed Companies requiring additional documentation Companies that should be delayed Highest-priority corrective actions Recommended next steps Required Experience Applicants should have direct experience in one or more of the following: Business credit card funding Business credit underwriting Small-business lending Commercial banking Business funding preparation Application sequencing Credit analysis Capital-readiness consulting Lender documentation Business financial analysis Experience should involve legitimate U.S. business-funding processes. General bookkeeping experience alone is not sufficient. Compliance and Role Boundaries This project must be completed accurately, legally, and in accordance with financial-institution requirements. The consultant will not be asked to: Create or alter false company documents. Misstate revenue, income, ownership, business activity, addresses, or intended use of funds. Create synthetic identities or use CPNs. Use another person’s identity, credit profile, bank account, address, or credentials. Add unauthorized tradelines or manipulate credit-reporting information. Apply for products while impersonating the client. submit applications without the client’s review and authorization. Circumvent an issuer’s application limits or terms. Guarantee approvals, credit limits, or funding amounts. Make deposits, transfer money, pay accounts, or purchase products on the client’s behalf. Request or receive client funds outside Upwork. Represent that personal relationships with a lender can override underwriting. All recommendations must be based on truthful client information and legitimate underwriting preparation. Ideal Candidate The ideal consultant: Understands how business and personal credit factors interact. Can distinguish document preparation from approval guarantees. Understands multi-entity funding without treating affiliated companies as unrelated when disclosure is required. Can explain sequencing decisions clearly. Maintains detailed records and supporting sources. Recognizes when attorney, CPA, tax or lender guidance is required. Is comfortable working under a defined scope, time budget and deliverable schedule. Communicates professionally through Upwork.
