Business/Data Analyst – Capital Management, Market Risk, SQL (3–5 yrs, Banking/Finance)

We are looking for a Business/Data Analyst (3–5 years experience) with strong exposure to capital management systems, market risk, and financial data platforms. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working at the intersection of business, data, and technology, translating capital-related business rules into structured technical requirements, data mappings, and controls. Key Responsibilities: Translate capital management business rules into detailed technical requirements and data mappings Create and maintain requirement traceability matrices (RTM) Perform data analysis using SQL on large datasets Conduct data discovery, profiling, and validation Build and maintain data lineage, catalogs, and governance artifacts Create process flows and data flow diagrams (Visio / Confluence) Write user stories and acceptance criteria (JIRA) Prepare test cases, test plans, and support QA/triage activities Ensure data quality, integrity, and audit readiness Work closely with business and tech teams on capital calculation and reporting systems Required Skills (Must Have) 3–5 years of experience in capital management technology / treasury systems / financial services Strong understanding of capital calculations, market risk, or regulatory reporting Experience with tools like QRM (Quantitative Risk Management) or similar platforms Familiarity with Axiom (capital reporting) is a strong plus Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, data validation on large datasets) Experience in data analysis, data lineage, and governance Ability to translate business rules → technical requirements Experience with JIRA, Confluence Knowledge of financial products and their impact on capital Nice to Have Exposure to big data platforms Experience in banking or regulatory environments Understanding of data quality frameworks and controls Who Should Apply Candidates with hands-on experience in financial data + capital/risk systems Strong analytical mindset with ability to work across business and technical teams Not suitable for pure developers without finance/data exposure Engagement Details Experience: 3–5 years Type: Contract / Long-term (based on performance) Time Zone: Flexible (overlap preferred if required)
