Your primary responsibility is to increase the overall success of the business by attracting more visitors, buyers, sellers, and business partners across all Item Atlas platforms. This is not a role where you simply follow a predefined script or complete repetitive tasks. You are expected to use your own initiative, creativity, business knowledge, experience, and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and implement strategies that contribute to the long-term growth of the business. Item Atlas currently operates six websites, including **OzHands**, which focuses exclusively on Australian-made products. Your responsibility extends to all of these websites. --- # Primary Objectives Your key objectives are to: * Increase website traffic through organic growth strategies. * Increase the number of sellers joining each Item Atlas platform. * Increase the number of buyers and active users. * Improve brand awareness and public recognition. * Improve customer engagement and retention. * Identify new business opportunities and partnerships. * Recommend improvements to the websites, services, and overall user experience. * Continuously identify weaknesses within the business and recommend practical solutions. Your success will ultimately be measured by the overall growth of the business. --- # Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Your performance will primarily be assessed against the following: * Growth in website visitors. * Growth in registered sellers. * Growth in registered buyers. * Growth in customer engagement. * Increase in enquiries and transactions. * Growth across all Item Atlas websites, including OzHands. * Quality and effectiveness of your growth strategies. * Your ability to independently identify opportunities and implement improvements. --- # Initial Two-Week Assignment During your first two weeks, you are **not expected to immediately begin marketing campaigns or implement changes.** Instead, your responsibility is to thoroughly understand the business. During this period you should: * Learn how each Item Atlas website operates. * Understand the target market for each website. * Identify strengths and weaknesses. * Identify opportunities for improvement. * Identify technical or operational issues. * Research competitors. * Research successful marketplaces and identify ideas that may be adapted. * Identify organic marketing opportunities. * Consider opportunities for local promotion, including practical promotional activities in Bangladesh where appropriate. At the end of the two-week period, you must provide a written Business Development Plan. --- # Business Development Plan Your written plan should include: * Your understanding of the current business. * Problems that require attention. * Opportunities for growth. * Short-term goals. * Medium-term goals. * Long-term goals. * Strategies for increasing website traffic. * Strategies for increasing seller registrations. * Strategies for increasing buyer activity. * Organic marketing strategies. * Content marketing ideas. * Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) recommendations. * Partnership opportunities. * Social media strategy. * Community engagement ideas. * Offline promotional opportunities where relevant. * Expected timelines. * Expected outcomes. * Proposed KPIs for measuring success. This initial plan should be developed independently based on your own research and professional judgement. Once you submit the plan, I will review it with you, provide feedback where necessary, and work with you to refine and improve it. --- # Action Plan Once your Business Development Plan has been approved, you will convert it into an Action Plan. The Action Plan should identify: * Each individual task. * The objective of each task. * The expected completion date. * The expected outcome. * Which website(s) the task applies to. * How success will be measured. Implementation will begin only after the Action Plan has been agreed upon. --- # Daily Reporting You are required to provide a daily progress report. Each report should include: * Tasks completed that day. * Which Action Plan item each task relates to. * Progress made. * Any issues encountered. * Proposed solutions. * Work planned for the following day. These reports will help measure progress and ensure that our strategy is being implemented effectively. --- # Marketing Approach Our focus is on **organic growth**. The purpose of hiring a full-time Business Development Manager is to avoid relying heavily on paid advertising. Accordingly, your strategies should prioritise: * Organic SEO * Content marketing * Community engagement * Partnerships * Public relations * Social media growth * Referral programs * Seller outreach * Business networking * Local promotional activities * Any other innovative methods of attracting users without significant advertising expenditure. If you believe limited paid advertising would provide exceptional value, you may make recommendations, but the primary focus of this role is sustainable organic growth. --- # Performance Review The first three months will be considered a probationary evaluation period. During this period, your work will be assessed based on: * Your commitment. * Your initiative. * Your innovation. * Your execution. * Your ability to produce measurable business growth. If your work demonstrates clear improvements to the business, we look forward to continuing our working relationship beyond the initial period. --- # Remuneration and Growth Opportunity This role offers significant long-term earning potential. As the business grows and generates greater revenue, your remuneration will also have the opportunity to grow. The more value you create for the business, the greater your earning potential. Our philosophy is simple: **If the business succeeds, you should also benefit from that success.** This position is therefore suited to someone who is genuinely committed, proactive, and motivated to build a growing business rather than simply complete assigned tasks. --- # Expectations We are looking for someone who: * Thinks independently. * Takes ownership of their work. * Is proactive rather than reactive. * Brings new ideas to the table. * Is willing to experiment, measure results, and continuously improve. * Is committed to achieving measurable outcomes. Innovation, consistency, and dedication are essential. Without genuine commitment from both parties, neither you nor the business will realise the full potential of this opportunity. If you require any clarification regarding your role or responsibilities, please do not hesitate to ask.
