Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION We're hiring one Business Development Manager per market — 12 positions Markets open now: Germany · Poland · Italy · France · United Kingdom · Netherlands · Belgium · Romania · USA · Canada · and a combined Balkans role covering Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo and Albania. Apply for one market only — the one whose language you speak natively. Who we are VELTEC ENGINEERING is the first and only air spring manufacturer in Southeast Europe. We manufacture air springs for trucks and trailers at our own factory in Kavadarci, North Macedonia — solar-powered, 4,300–4,700 units per month on a single shift, around 30 SKUs covering both the European programme (BPW, SAF, Schmitz Cargobull, Krone, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Scania, Volvo) and the North American programme (cross-referenced to Firestone, Goodyear, Hendrickson, Navistar, Watson & Chalin). Two things separate us from the Turkish, Chinese and Italian suppliers our customers use today: we test 100% of units individually instead of sampling batches, and we laser-engrave the OE number onto every single unit. One-year warranty. EXW Kavadarci, DAP on request. We already manufacture under a US distributor's private label — so private-label production is proven, not promised. The role Open distributor accounts in your market. You are not selling to workshops or drivers. You are selling to spare parts distributors, wholesalers, buying groups and trailer parts specialists — companies that buy pallets, not pieces. The positioning is deliberately non-confrontational. Almost every target already has an air spring supplier, and we don't ask them to drop it. We offer three things instead: Second source — supply security, which matters more every year Gap coverage — references their current supplier doesn't carry Private label — production under their own house brand That framing gets replies. "Switch to us" does not. Day to day you will: Research and qualify distributors in your market — size, product range, whether they already carry air springs, who does the buying Identify the real decision-maker: Head of Procurement, Purchasing Manager, Category Manager, or the owner at smaller firms Make contact using only the channels permitted in your market (see the table — these are legal rules, not preferences) Run the first conversation: what they buy today, from whom, and where the gaps are Get a part list or RFQ into our hands Hand over to the factory for quoting — you never quote prices or confirm technical specifications yourself Follow through until a sample or trial order ships Keep the shared pipeline sheet current and send a short Friday report You do not need to live in the market you cover. We hire for language and industry knowledge, not address. A German-speaking BDM based in Serbia is as welcome as one in Hamburg. Native-level French speakers in Morocco or Tunisia — please apply for France. Compensation Monthly retainer: $150–$300 depending on market (see table), released each month against a minimum activity level: 40 new qualified companies researched and logged 25 first-touch contacts 6 decision-maker conversations Weekly Friday report Performance bonuses, paid on top of the retainer: $15 per verified conversation with a decision-maker (max 10/month) $40 per written RFQ or part list received $150 when a trial order ships and is paid $250 when an account places a first order of 200+ units Commission: €1.00 per air spring shipped and paid, on every account you open, for 24 months from that account's first order — and it continues even if the contract ends. An honest picture of the money: months 1–3 you should expect $350–550/month from retainer plus activity bonuses. From month 4 onward, commission becomes the bigger number if you've opened accounts. A single distributor ordering 300 units/month pays you €300 every month, for two years, without further work. This is a long-cycle industrial sale. Deals take 3–9 months from first contact to first pallet. If you need income this week, this is the wrong role. If you want to build something that pays you repeatedly, it's a good one. What we give you Company profile and spec sheet in your language Cross-reference list — our references against Firestone, Contitech, BPW, SAF and others Factory photos and video (real production, not stock images) Message templates already written and tested in your language A starting list of qualified companies in your market — you are not beginning at zero Direct WhatsApp access to the owner for anything technical Requirements Must have Native or fully fluent in your market's language Working English — all internal communication is in English 2+ years B2B outbound sales or business development Willing to pick up the phone. This is not an email-only role. Organised — you'll maintain a pipeline sheet and it has to be accurate Strongly preferred Automotive, commercial vehicle, or trailer spare parts background You already know what a BPW or SAF axle is Existing contacts in truck or trailer parts distribution Please don't apply if You're an agency, or you plan to subcontract this You want to send bulk email blasts — channel rules by country are strict and non-negotiable You expect full-time pay for part-time results How to apply Applications that skip these four points will not get a reply. We read every one that does. Name the single market you're applying for. In that market's language, write the opening message you'd send to a purchasing manager at a truck parts distributor. Six sentences maximum. Name 3 specific companies in that market you'd approach first, with one line on why each. Describe one B2B account you opened from cold — what the company sold, how long it took, how you got in. Confirm you're available for a 15-minute video call in your market's language. Shortlisted candidates receive a paid $25 test task before any contract is offered. Contract: 3-month trial, fixed-price monthly milestones, renewed and extended if targets are met. All payments through Upwork.
