Business Development Partner | Recruitment Tech | Commission Only (UK Market) You have spent years winning clients in recruitment. You know how to get a Talent Director or an HR Director on the phone, find out what is keeping them up at night, and turn that into a working relationship. The skills you have built doing this are rare, and they transfer directly into what I am looking for. If you have been thinking about applying those skills to something beyond traditional agency work, somewhere your earnings are not tied to a placement sticking, where you are not competing against four other agencies on the same brief, and where you get paid days after a deal closes rather than months, keep reading. What This Is I run a specialist recruitment consultancy that helps organisations make better hiring and people decisions using a SaaS-based people analytics platform. It is backed by decades of scientific research and used by thousands of companies worldwide. This is where the industry is heading. Organisations are increasingly looking at how to get hiring right at a strategic level, and this platform sits at the centre of that shift. I handle the full sales process: every discovery call, every demo, every proposal, and every close. What I need is someone to start the right conversations with the right people and identify companies with a genuine need. What You Would Be Doing You are calling CEOs, Managing Directors, HR Directors, Heads of People, Heads of Talent, and L&D Directors at small and mid-sized UK companies. These are the same people you have been speaking to throughout your career. Your conversations are about hiring. How they find people, where that is falling short, and what it costs them when they get it wrong. When you uncover a genuine need, you introduce them to me for a discovery call. I take it from there. You are not demoing, writing proposals, or closing. Your job is to open the door, and you already know how to do that. How We Would Work Together When you come on board, I train you on the platform properly. You will understand what it does, who it is for, and how it helps. You will receive a written brief covering the questions that come up most often and the objections you are likely to hear. By the time you start calling, you will be able to talk about this with genuine confidence. We speak regularly to ensure that you have everything you need. We discuss what is landing and what is not, and sharpen your approach together. You have direct access to me at all times. If you need a quick answer mid-conversation with a prospect, you can reach me straight away. You bring the relationships, the ability to get senior people on the phone, and the instinct for recognising a real hiring problem. I bring the product knowledge and the ability to turn that introduction into a signed deal. We each do what we are best at. Commission This is commission-only. There is no retainer and no base pay. You earn US$1,000 to US$2,000 per signed deal, depending on the size of the client organisation. Commission is paid via Upwork within 7 days of the client paying. Who This Will Suit You come from a recruitment background. You have won clients by picking up the phone and having proper conversations with senior people, not by sending email sequences or relying on automation. You have a network across UK businesses that you have built over years. You are curious about technology. You do not need SaaS experience, and you do not need to be technical. You need to be the kind of person who can learn how a platform works and talk about it credibly with a decision-maker. You are set up to work independently. You have your own phone, your own workspace, and a reliable way to reach UK decision-makers during business hours. You manage your own diary, your own pipeline, and your own activity. Nobody needs to tell you when to start calling. You are fluent in English. Any additional language capability, particularly French or German, is a genuine advantage.
