Employment Type: Full Time, Remote About Road Map Consulting (RMC) Road Map Consulting (RMC) is a professional consulting firm specializing in GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) proposal development, Federal Contracting Support, Contract Administration & Compliance (CAC), and Marketing & Client Management (MCM). We help businesses successfully navigate the U.S. federal contracting process through expert consulting, proposal development, compliance support, and long-term strategic advisory services. We're looking for an experienced Business Development Representative with a background in B2B Sales, Lead Generation, Account Management, and Professional Services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and working closely with leadership to drive business growth. Position Overview The Business Development Representative will play a key role in executing RMC's sales and marketing strategy across multiple market segments. You will be responsible for: - Lead Generation - Outbound Prospecting - Email Outreach - LinkedIn Outreach - Pipeline Management - Client Relationship Management - Sales Presentations - Proposal Coordination - Client Onboarding Success in this role will be measured by lead generation, client engagement, pipeline development, meeting coordination, and converting qualified prospects into clients. Application Form: (link removed) Key Responsibilities - Execute targeted Business Development campaigns. - Generate and qualify new business opportunities through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other outreach channels. - Conduct outbound sales calls and prospecting activities. - Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using the company CRM. - Schedule and coordinate meetings between prospective clients and RMC leadership. - Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations. - Prepare proposals and Agreements for Services for qualified prospects. - Maintain accurate CRM records, client information, and sales activities. - Collaborate with the Marketing team to execute strategic outreach campaigns. - Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients. - Support the successful execution of RMC's Sales and Marketing Plan. Target Market Segments - Law firms specializing in federal government contracting - CPA firms specializing in government contracting - GSA MAS contract holders - SCORE Workshop attendees - SBA 8(a) certified businesses - SBA HUBZone certified businesses - Colleges and universities - Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) - State-based businesses - Client referrals - Strategic partner referrals Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, Account Management, or Professional Services Sales. - Proven experience in Lead Generation and Outbound Prospecting. - Experience managing a Sales Pipeline and nurturing prospective clients. - Comfortable engaging business owners, executives, and decision-makers. - Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. - Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Monday.com, Salesforce, or similar. - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent spoken and written English with the ability to communicate professionally with U.S. clients. - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Preferred Qualifications - Experience selling consulting or professional services. - Experience working with government contractors. - Familiarity with GSA MAS, SAM.gov, or the federal contracting industry is an advantage but not required.
