Softlimit – Shopify Plus Premier Partner Compensation Up to $2,000/month retainer $100 per qualified demo booked and attended 2.5% commission on closed deals About the Role Softlimit is looking for a part-time Business Development Representative (BDR) to support outbound prospecting and pipeline generation efforts. This is a behind-the-scenes role focused on research, outreach, follow-up, and meeting generation. You will not be responsible for sales calls, demos, proposals, negotiations, or closing business. All customer-facing sales conversations will be handled by the Founder. Responsibilities • Build and manage target account lists that fit Softlimit's ideal customer profile • Research decision-makers including Founders, CEOs, Heads of Ecommerce, and Marketing leaders • Execute personalized email and LinkedIn outreach campaigns • Create simple prospecting assets such as account research, Loom videos, and website observations • Schedule qualified discovery calls and demos for the Founder • Reactivate closed-lost and dormant opportunities • Support lead generation efforts related to events, webinars, marketing campaigns, and strategic initiatives • Maintain CRM records and prospecting activity • Consistently follow up with prospects to generate meetings Qualifications • Previous SDR, BDR, lead generation, or business development experience • Strong written communication skills • Experience with email and LinkedIn outreach • Highly organized and self-motivated • Comfortable working independently Preferred • Shopify or ecommerce experience • Agency experience • Experience with CRM systems and account-based marketing Success Metrics • Qualified meetings booked • Opportunities generated • Outreach activity and consistency • Reactivation of dormant opportunities • Contribution to overall pipeline growth This role is ideal for someone who enjoys prospecting, research, and outbound marketing while supporting a founder-led sales process.
