Acquisition Origination Associate (Part-Time, ~20 hrs/week) The Company Triarch partners with small business owners to build enduring companies in essential services. We acquire well-run local businesses and help their owners transition into a larger, better-resourced organization, taking a long-term, hands-on approach to the companies we build. The Role We're looking for someone to be the first friendly voice business owners hear from Triarch. You'll work from target lists (company name, industry, owner name and contact info) and reach out to introduce who we are, start a genuine conversation about their business, and — where there's mutual interest — get time on the calendar with one of our founders. This isn't a script-reading or hard-sell role. It's relationship-first outreach: understanding an owner's situation, answering basic questions about who we are, and helping determine whether a conversation with our team makes sense right now or down the road. What You'll Do • Call owners from provided target lists to introduce Triarch • Build rapport and have real conversations about the owner's business and plans • Answer high-level questions about who we are and what we're looking for • Gauge genuine interest and timing, and route promising conversations to a call with founding team • Get past gatekeepers and reach the actual decision-maker - turning receptionists and staff into a route to the owner • Keep clean, organized notes on every conversation and outcome What We're Looking For • Comfortable and confident on the phone with business owners (cold outreach experience a must) • Warm, genuine communication style — this is relationship-building, not a pitch • Organized and reliable with tracking outreach and follow-ups • Self-starter who can work independently with light day-to-day oversight • Prior experience in sales development, deal sourcing, recruiting, or similar outreach-heavy roles is required Hours & Compensation • Approximately 20 hours/week, flexible schedule • Hourly base rate + success fee on any acquisition that closes originating from your outreach • Performance tracked on call volume and number of qualified conversations resulting in a booked call with the founding team
