3D CAD Mechanical Engineer / Industrial Designer for Consumer Electronics Accessory (Fusion / STEP)

I am looking for an experienced 3D CAD Mechanical Engineer or Industrial Designer to help finalize production-ready files for a physical consumer electronic accessory—a low-profile, adhesive-mounted phone grip. I have initialized early concept models in Fusion (including the base plate and bumper component geometries), but I need a specialist to refine the CAD files, ensure proper tolerances, and prepare the final package for contract manufacturing (injection molding / prototyping). Key Deliverables: Model Refinement & Assemblies: Refine and optimize existing components (rigid Polycarbonate base plate and flexible TPU bumper component). Ensure proper mechanical fit, snap-fits/interlocks, and wall thickness tolerances between rigid and flexible parts. Assist in modeling/finalizing the internal sliding track mechanism and connector geometry. Manufacturing Handoff Package: Production-ready 3D CAD files (STEP / IGES) suitable for contract manufacturing. 3D Printing Files (STL / 3MF) for rapid prototyping/testing. Basic 2D Engineering Drawings (PDF / DWG) with key dimensions, tolerances, and surface callouts for quote/build validation with the manufacturer. Project Scope & Requirements: Strong expertise in product design for injection molding (draft angles, uniform wall thickness, ribbing, material pairings like PC and TPU). Proficiency in Autodesk Fusion, SolidWorks, or similar professional CAD software (Fusion preferred for direct file alignment). Clear communication and experience prepping handoffs for Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
